Group Spiritual Direction

Roberto Assagioli, an Italian contemporary of Freud, was interested in the spiritual aspects of the psyche. He believed that our personality is composed of multiple components. In the midst of these disparate, often conflicting parts is a wise and observant self, which can direct and integrate the other parts using its gifts of awareness and will. With practice we can become more conscious of this centered “self” and of our connection to “Higher Self” (the divine) and from this perspective interact with, integrate and embrace the various components of our personality. This class will explore Assagioli’s theories, including practical tools that support growth and wholeness.
